WINNERS 2007-2008 

The LAND Writing Competition judging is complete. The judges were (poetry) Diane Seuss, faculty at Kalamazoo College and author of It Blows Me Hollow; (fiction) Andy Mozina, Kalamazoo College faculty and author of the just-released book of short stories The Women Were Leaving the Men; and (essay) Bonnie Jo Campbell, author of the novel Q Road and book of short stories Women and Other Animals.

 Winning writers will be invited to the LAND Conference. First place winners may choose to attend the conference, and their overnight stay will be covered by LAND. All winners (1st, 2nd, and Honorable Mention) will be invited to the luncheon on Friday when the awards will be presented. There are also cash prizes for the top award winners. Winning writers who attend the conference are LAND’s guests and do not pay a registration fee. A winning writer may bring one additional person to the luncheon for free. Other guests must pay.
